New Careers at Hitchiner Manufacturing
Following years of successful growth, Hitchiner Manufacturing has announced plans to add more than 40 new positions and expand their existing Milford, NH plant to accommodate even greater manufacturing capacity. This expansion includes adding 25,000 sq. ft. of finishing space as well as building a 6,000 sq. ft. area for product development. Hiring will begin soon to accomidate this latest expansion of the Hitchiner company.
What's Next For Hitchiner Manufacturing Co., Inc.?
Currently, Hitchiner is home to 637 employees in the Milford, NH, area who serve in both manufacturing, technology and management roles. By adding these new positions and expanding the plant, Hitchiner will be better able to serve customers in the automotive, aerospace and defense industries. It will also allow for even greater efficiency and environmentally friendly practices. First, Hitchiner will add more room for post-production finishing processes that will affect some of the firm's biggest customers. Then, Hitchiner will make room for customers new and old to work on developing new products with the team.
New Facilities
Hitchiner worked closely with Dennis Mires Architects to expand our space and create a modern, high tech manufacturing space that will serve our company for years to come. We are also making sure to leave plenty of room for future expansions and the innovative technologies we are developing.
In addition to this increase, there is also hope to add another 200 jobs and another building down the road. Negotiations are underway with several large scale companies to make Hitchiner their primary manufacturing partner. If these contracts go through, there will be a renewed need to expand our workforce and our manufacturing space.
The first round of expansions was completed in August with the assistance of Milford's planning board.
