Enabling Complex Applications with Gas Turbine Operations
jet engine components
For more than 30 years, our Gas Turbine Operations have provided companies like Pratt & Whitney, General Electric and Rolls-Royce with specialized parts and complex, thin-walled applications. This technological capability, an advantage over the conventional techniques employed by our competitors, has enabled us to meet the needs of a wider range of customers, including companies like UTC Aerospace Systems, GE Power, SAFRAN, MHI and many others.Originally established next to our Milford headquarters as Hitchiner's Gas Turbine Division, the organization has experienced steady growth since its inception, and today primarily produces parts for the highly-specialized jet engine component market.
Our Gas Turbine Operations has also allowed our customers to convert to investment castings for components that were previously manufactured by a more costly combinations of processes. By utilizing the Countergravity Low-pressure Vacuum melt (CLV) and the Countergravity Pressure Vacuum (CPV) casting processes, we can produce parts as thin as .015 of an inch. This technological capability, an advantage over the conventional techniques employed by our competitors, has enabled us to meet the needs of a wider range of customers, including companies like Westinghouse, Allison, MTU, Sundstrand Solar and many others.
Hitchiner's quality systems are ISO-9002 certified, assuring we deliver high-quality products and we maintain our position as the leading producer of thin-walled vacuum castings.
