Are you looking for a meaningful work experience through which you can explore a long-term career?  Hitchiner Manufacturing has long supported career and workforce development opportunities at both the high school and undergraduate levels.

High School Opportunities

We partner with area high schools in offering paid internships for students during the school year through which they may gain real-world experience in their desired field.

Milford High School & Applied Technology Center - Manufacturing Exploration and Externship

This semester-long course through Milford High School & Applied Technology Center includes both classroom instruction and a two day a week externship where students will get hands-on experience with sponsoring employers, including Hitchiner.

Through this course, students may earn up to seven (7) college credits through the Community College System of New Hampshire’s Running Start Dual Credit Program.  Additionally, students are paid for hours worked with employers.

Undergraduate Opportunities

Annually, Hitchiner welcomes rising junior and senior engineering students into our summer internship program which runs from May through August.  Over the course of 10-12 weeks, interns gain meaningful real-world experience in a manufacturing environment while also being mentored by their manager and other leaders within the company.  They work closely with and contribute to the engineering and production teams on special projects that add value to Hitchiner.

Recruitment for these internships typically occurs during the fall semester.
