Described below are brief summaries of salaried employee benefits for Hitchiner® employees. These are summaries only and are intended for salaried applicants.
Medical Insurance Coverage becomes available the first day of the month following your employment at Hitchiner®. Hitchiner® offers an HRA Plan Option.
Coverage becomes available the first day of the month following your employment at Hitchiner®. Preventative and diagnostic services are covered at 100%, basic restorative at 80% and major restorative services at 50% after a 12 month waiting period. Calendar year maximum coverage per person is $1,000.00.
The company provides at no cost to you, Basic Group Life Insurance in the amount of $10,000 as well as Accidental Death and Dismemberment in the amount of $10,000. You may purchase additional coverage for yourself and your dependents.
Business Travel Insurance
Hitchiner® pays for the entire cost of business travel insurance. Your beneficiary may receive $150,000 if your die in an accident while traveling on company business. This insurance is in addition to your Life and AD&D insurance.
Your full salary may be continued for a period of time depending on your length of service with the Company. You may be eligible for 60% of your base pay if your disability continues until age 65. This is subject to pre-existing conditions.
Vacations and Holidays
The first day of the fiscal year, employees with less than 5 years with the Company receive 10 vacation days and 10 holidays per year. Those hired after that date receive their vacation on a pro rata basis of .83 days per month, up to 10 days. However, to be eligible for vacation, you must be employed for at least 90-days.
After six months of employment you may be eligible for tuition assistance. Courses must be Company related and pre-approved by your manager and the Corporate Trainer. We offer 90% reimbursement on books, and some fees when you receive a grade of at least a "C" for undergraduate courses and "B" for graduate courses. We cover 60-90% of course costs dependent upon the grade received for the course.
401k Retirement Savings Plan
Once employed at Hitchiner® for three months you are eligible to join the 401k savings plan the first day of the month following 90 days of employment. Hitchiner® matches employee contributions at a rate of $.50 on the dollar up to 6%. Employees are 100% vested after three years of service.
Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)
Employees become eligible to enroll when hired or during open enrollment. Hitchiner offers FSA Accounts for Health Care (up to $2,500 per calendar year) and Dependent Care expenses (up to $5,000 per calendar year).
